Ulaanbaatar Xac Broncos secure historic Bronze at BCL Asia 2025

Ulaanbaatar Xac Broncos concluded a remarkable international campaign by securing the bronze medal at the Basketball Champions League (BCL) Asia 2025, achieving the highest finish ever recorded by a Mongolian professional basketball club in Asia's premier club competition.

In the third-place game held at Dubai's Coca-Cola Arena, the Broncos defeated UAE champions Shabab Al Ahli 84-79. After trailing early in the game, the team mounted a strong second-half comeback to claim a historic victory and Mongolia's first-ever medal at the continental club level.

Local standout Altangerel Azbayar delivered a memorable performance with 28 points on perfect shooting, while Ian Miller and Jordan Tolbert provided leadership and experience throughout the tournament.

The bronze medal capped off one of the most successful seasons in Mongolian basketball history. Earlier in the year, Ulaanbaatar Xac Broncos captured both The League championship and the BCL Asia-East title, earning the opportunity to compete against Asia's top professional clubs on the continent's biggest stage.
