Ulaanbaatar Xac Broncos concluded a landmark season by claiming the bronze medal at the Basketball Champions League (BCL) Asia East 2026.
The Broncos defeated Shabab Al Ahli 84-79 in the third-place game, capping off a remarkable campaign that showcased the rapid rise of Mongolian basketball on the continental stage. Representing Mongolia in the competition, the ten-time national champions continue their campaign against top teams from across East Asia. The team's roster has been strengthened by the addition of point guard Tulga, who previously played for Darkhan United, while Ian Miller has returned to action following injury.
In the earlier season, Ulaanbaatar Xac Broncos made history by winning the inaugural BCL Asia-East championship with a perfect 8-0 record, becoming the first Mongolian team to capture a regional Asian club title. Guard Ian Miller was named the tournament MVP after leading the team throughout the competition.
The club's success follows another domestic championship season and qualification for the East Asia Super League (EASL), making Ulaanbaatar Xac Broncos the first Mongolian team to compete in East Asia's top professional club competition.
